This is the data, cookie and privacy policy for the Community Repair Network

The Restart Project acts as Data Controller on behalf of the Community Repair Network. The Restart Project is a UK registered Charity, with number 1151286. Hereafter, for readability, The Restart Project acting on behalf of the Community Repair Network will be referred to in the first person: e.g. ‘we’, ‘us’.

This policy explains how we collect, manage, use and protect your personal data (hereafter referred to as ‘data’).

Your personal information is protected by UK legislation, including the Data Protection Act 1998 and the Privacy & Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003, and the General Data Protection Regulation (EU 2016/679).

What information do you collect, and how do you use it?

If you browse our website:

We do not capture any personally identifiable information about you. But we do collect the following types of data:

  • Anonymous, aggregate data.
  • Web analytical data, including page views, sessions, entrances and exits, frequencies of downloads, and other interactions with the communityrepairnetwork.org.uk website.
  • To monitor and report on the performance of our website and popularity/demand for our content.

We do not use cookies on communityrepairnetwork.org.uk.

If you complete one of our surveys:

We use a platform called Typeform to run our surveys. Through Typeform, we collect the information you provide in order to analyse the results of our surveys and learn from your feedback. If you provide your email address and consent to receiving emails from us, we will store your email address and transfer it to Mailchimp, a third party platform we use to manage our mailing lists.

If you subscribe to our emails:

We collect the information you provide when signing up, such as your name and email address. We will use this information to send you email updates about our work. We use a third party platform called Mailchimp to manage our mailing lists. Through Mailchimp, we receive information that lets us know if the emails we send you have been opened and if any of the links they contain have been visited.

What are my rights as a data subject?

Your rights as a Data Subject under the General Data Protection Regulation include the right to access your data, rectify the data we have, withdrawing your consent to receive information and to object if you feel there has been an issue with how your data is being processed, and to be forgotten if that is your wish.  A full list of your rights is available in Chapter III of the General Data Protection Regulation.
